we sell epox main boards, I had my tech support dept answer this:
Even it's not very likely, but you still should making sure that's not
because of the software issues, corrupted system files, virus infection may
cause such problem. Hook up a different hard drive with OS (prefer Win98)
to this motherboard, see whether the problem persist, if the same problem
occurs, then obviously the FDD controller on that motherboard is faulty.
