Mr Brother, I am surprise a person of your caliber is
a praise-singer to immature leadership in our
country.I don't know how you measure development.Yahya
Jammeh and APRC government have cause more of
development crisis than development. The human capital
in our country are engulf in what I call Gambia's
burden and that is:- lack of democracy, masse
employment,deepening poverty,disease,environmental
degradation,food insecurity, corruption etc.Our
country cannot address these issues in isolation. She
most circum to the rule of free and fair election,
functional democracy human rights and social
justice. If Yahya Jammeh want international financing
to our development efforts, he most respect the 3-D
solution and that is debt, development and
democracy. No civilized democracy will deal with him as
long as he continue with his criminal and dictatorial
tendencies.You cannot measure development on
unsustainble infrastructures which I know will
depreciate like the Gambian dalasis in few years to
come.Development is measure in human capital and for
seven years our people are looming in hunger and
malnutrition.

<P>Whoever told you that development was an event? No
sir, it wasn't me, as Shaggy would say. To me
development is a process and that is exactly what we
are seeing in the country. The development process, as
evidenced by the booming construction industry and
jobs being created, is an ongoing one and is set to
continue. Guess what, another new ferry for the
Banjul/Barra crossing is expected in The Gambia in the
next few days. It is said that it can make the
crossing in twenty minutes!! Check out this space for
more useful developments in the next few days,
