The opposition must be very vigilant tomorrow. I hope they
will keep a very close eye on the perimeter of the Gambia College
to make sure groups of people are not coming out from there, and if they do I hope they will be followed to where ever they go. The media has a great responsibility to be vigilant as well. I hope Gabriel Roberts and the IEC will stick to their guns that only names in the book will be allowed to vote. Anything less should be rejected by the opposition.
Thanks,
Mori Kebba Jammeh

30,000 Cassamance Voters In Camp At Brikama?
It has been alleged that over 30,000 Casamanace residents are currently in
camp at the Gambia College Campus and Brikama Youth Centre ready to vote in
the October 18 Presidential polls.
Our sources disclosed that some of these people have been living with their
relatives in Marakisa and Dasilami villages in Kombo Central. Upon a
tip-off, these reporters visited the Gambia College Camp yesterday morning,
where a security officer was found at the gate. He refused to identify
himself but maintained that students were having summer classes there. ”It
is not true that Casmanace residents are residing here, he stated.” Our
source further indicated that a column of cultural troupes from the
Cassamance are helping Jammeh in his campaign
However, a College Senior worker who begged for anonymity claimed that there
was no summer class taking place at the college. “Those staying here are
people from Foni on tour with the presidential campaign trial.
A Senior HTC student at the college, Fatoumatta Jallow refuted that there
was a summer camp there. She said all the students have gone on vacation.
“Even the lecturers are not there, so it is surprising to hear that summer
courses is going on at the college.
Still at the College, a lecturer told The Point that unknown people are
staying there. He said everybody has left the campus until after the
elections. The College principal, Jenung Manneh said that hundreds of
FAWEGAM girls are holding vacational course there. “Nobdoy was allowed to
see them in because they want to avoid disturbance. So people went
speculating that Cassamance residents are based there,” he said
