Bobby,
I am feeling better but am still on oxycontin and diazepam for pain and to
keep my muscles relaxed so I am a groggy soul most of the day. Plus I
haveto take warfarin (coumadin) for at least the next six months to prevent
any future blood clots - not the most fun thing to be on! My pain is
decreasing with time though and I can finally lay flat to sleep for short
periods of time without much discomfort. My lung capacity is horrible,
though, and I get winded with a very short walk. I sure hope my lung heals
quickly or I will be off from teaching much longer than I would like. I'm
hopeful after I see my family doc tomorrow and the pulmonary specialist
Friday I will have more answers. I'll keep you posted. But for now, I
sleep most of my days and nights away unless I have visitors or phone calls
from colleagues, family and friends! Thanks for asking.
Linda
