Elavil (amitryptiline) is a tricyclic anti-depressant that has the positive
side-effect of pain interception and is somewhat of an anti-spasmodic.
Elavil is the U.S. brand name. Ask your doctor about the med by its generic
name as it is marketed under many brand names around the world.

Hello, Asdis,
I was on Paxil for a while to deal with depression after my mom's death,
and I don't recall it making my rigid spasticity worse. You will need to
talk to your doctor about that.
