Thanks Kat, the migraine has eased somewhat now, we had a cool change
in the weather this afternoon which helped. Also, I've been thinking
alot about the general stupidity of the world and it's insane
attitudes to us, and that always makes me grind my teeth and keeps me
awake at night, hence the migrane. I should put some of what I'm
thinking down and post it to the list, but I'm lazy, I wait till
someone else (usually you Betty!) posts something I agree with, then I
sit here saying, yeah I agree, but I don't think that really releases
the tension. Silly Rayna. But I'm with you and Mag, swearing when I
am angry or frustrated or in pain is an excellent stress releiver, and
with me, it's definitely the safest. I know that if I was physically
able to I would probably pound the sh*t out of the next idiot to cross
my path, just as well I can't!

I think good manners are the oil that grease the cogs of human relationships
and society, but trying to be 100 % nice 24 hours a day is not human and
it's impossible. And if one cannot express their pain and/or frustrations,
well, it just gets worse. I'm like Mag, I swear when I'm angry or in a lot
of pain, and somehow just expressing it that way makes me feel better. (Of
course I make sure I don't do it in front of my rabbi!) I should think a
person who makes a living taking care of people who need assistance and are
in pain would understand that. And if you can't swear in your own home,
where can you?
Most AB's should know that and they do. My friends know that. But then I
pick and choose my friends on the basis of their ability to accept me just
as I am (and the ability to listen to Van Morrison's "Someone Like You"
numerous times ;-) ).
