Hi All,
I assume that you've all been praying for Cameroon to win this afrternoon's game
against Austria. If you haven't we need your help. Sharpen your voices to chant
"ALLEZ LES LIONS" during the games, and make sure you don't lose that voice
because we will need it for every game until the final one against France.
Thanks :-)
I'am not aware of a football party in the African community here in Madison.
However, I know of two pubs in town that are showing world cup games:
Big Ten Pub
1330 Regent Street
608-251-6375
Kollege Klub
529 N. Lake Street
608-257-3611
(Note: I don't own stock in any of the above businesses.)
You can phone them to find out when specific games will be shown.
Let's communicate through this list to create a football gathering at least for
the games in which African teams are playing.
If there's no party at anyone's home, how about taking over one of those pubs?
Some of you remember how sweet it was to watch the '94 games at the now defunct
Latin Club.
Also, does anyone know anybody selling t-shirts of the participating African
teams.
Any other ideas?
Have a good day and celebrate responsibly after the Cameroon victory this
afternoon!
