The second round of meetings which Mayor Bauman began earlier this year with communities of color begins Monday evening, April 10. Mayor Susan J.M. Bauman is holding a listening/reporting session with members of the African American community at the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, 2001 Taft Street, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

In the first round Mayor Bauman heard from people on many topics of specific interest and concern to the communities of color. In the second round the mayor hopes to address many of these issues, while encouraging persons present to provide ideas for addressing others.

On Wednesday, April 12, the series of listening/reporting sessions advances when Mayor Bauman meets with members of the Southeast Asian community at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1625 Northport Drive, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Later in the month Mayor Bauman will meet with members of the Native American community at the South Madison Health and Family Center - Harambee, 2202 S. Park St., from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., Monday, April 24.

The current round of listening/reporting sessions will conclude on Tuesday, April 25, when Mayor Bauman meets with members of the Latino Community at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1625 Northport Drive, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

All of these listening/reporting sessions are open to members of the public, who are welcome to attend.
Madison's award winning City Channel 12 is taping the Southeast Asian and Latino community reporting/listening sessions for later broadcast. The Southeast Asian program airs May 5, 14, and 19. The Latino program airs May 7, 12, and 20.
