I only did that once to a PC Chips clone (re-marked) and never used it
for years because of OS support (or lack there of...)

Is this at least Win98?
If Win95B or C, did you manually add the OS support as necessary?
(If "any" USB is working, it is installed...)

If memory serves me correctly, there are different pin-outs for the add-on
MB USB connectors and you need different models for different
MotherBoards.
