Paul;
It sounds like maybe you have them setup
you need to share the drives on the computer you want to copy from.
go to my computer right click on the "c"for example, and you should see
a sharing item on the drop down menu.
you may have to make a new share as the default share with the $ sometimes
doesn't seem to work.
 Make sure each computer has a unique name and the same workgroup name.
enable file and printer sharing in  control panel/networking
then it should work.
