Hi, Dina,
Being hard of hearing myself, I know what you're going through. When I was
at my first college in the early to mid-70s I just made do myself and turned
to my classmates for help if I need to fill in any gaps. In going for my
second degree in the late 80s, I hired another student to take notes for me,
and taped lectures and labs as backups. I also sat in the first row to the
side whenever I could so that I could see both the professors and the
students. Thirdly, and most importantly, I made sure my hearing aid was in
top condition and my batteries were fresh.
