Hello listers:
Can someone point me to a device or devices which would permit blind hams to
tune and completely operate, with no sited assistance, a tubed transceiver?
Of course, a noise bridge along with a CW announcing frequency counter would
keep track of the SWR and where I am on the band. Its the other necessary
operations I'm concerned with. The charging of the plate, bringing the
transceiver up on its proper operating load and measuring the RF power
output and so on.
I have the schematics for the Fowle Gimmique but it doesn't look like I'm
going to get it built any time soon.
I really love those old tubed beauties and am thinking of investing into
one. As well, our club station is an FT-102 and there are only 2 people who
know how to handle that rig properly.
I would like to be the third! <HI HI>
Hope someone can help:
