I own and operate a Drake R4C and T4XC (831 QSOs in the ARRL CW DX
contest two weeks ago), no working amplifier.  The transmitter
requires a power supply, but the receiver doesn't.  In my setup, the
power supply for the transmitter is a separate unit.  The receiver
could work with about any speaker you wanted to use..  Come to think
of it, maybe you're talking about the TR4C trnasceiver or something.
