Another interesting option in the wireless market is the butane soldering irons. there are ones that you fill with fluid like a lighter and others that take a pre-filled canister. Some have peizo electric ignition as well. No idea of manufacturer or price.
Wonder if anyone had done some wave soldering for a home project? than all you would need to do is place the components and lay the PC board in place but having never seen this in actual operation (only when the assembly lines are quiet) in industry I am not sure it is practical nor cost effective for hobbyist work.
Anyone professionally involved know more about this?
