Hello Jean,

If you're sure that your Pionex machine is running a 633 MHz Intel
processor, then I believe you've got a Celeron CPU with 66 Mhz Front Side
Bus.  That being the case, you're motherboard likely supports 168-pin
PC66-SDRAM and perhaps PC100-SDRAM.

I checked the Pionex website for any useful nuggets of information, but
didn't get far without knowing anything more about your computer (e.g.,
Model #).  My first impresssion was the information posted at their website
was minimal and out-of-date.  Here are the links:

I also checked the Crucial Memory Configurator for Pionex systems, but they
only listed memory upgrades for older Pentium II models.  Was your system by
any chance a PII model upgraded with a Celeron processor?

In any case, in lieu of any more knowlegable responses to your query, I
suggest you contact Tech Support @ both Pionex and Crucial for a definitive
answer.  My personal opinion is that 168-pin PC100-SDRAM will work just
fine.

By the way, you're eventually going to have to crack the case to replace or
add memory ;-) .  So why not do it now to see what you have???

I have a Pionex 633 MHz Pentium 3 computer that is about 1 year old.
Because of a recent upheaval in my household, I cannot find the book for the
computer. How can I find out what kind of memory this computer has without
disassembling it? Some places are selling 128 SDRAM memory sticks for very
decent prices but I have no idea if this thing uses DRAM, SDRAM PC-100 or
SDRAM PC-133. Don't want to buy the wrong kind and find out it won't work.
Any ideas?
