A British study compared the diets of two villages. The fishing village had
10 times higher daily fish consumption than the rural farming village. The
fish eaters also had higher blood EPA and DHA levels, lower arachadonic acid
levels, and lower blood triglyceride and total cholesterol levels. The
farming village had 4 times higher incidence of mortality from heart
disease.
