I never had luck with insurance paying for Alimentum for us because it wasn't
prescription. They paid for Neocate, which is the next step (and by a
prescription). Do you qualify for WIC? We did for a short time when I wasn't
teaching and it was just my husband's income. That helped some. I would
definately ask for samples from your doctor or even call the company.  You
could also try calling Any Baby Can. They can sometimes help out with formula
intight situations.
