In Canada all members of the Canadian Celiac Association were notified
by Proctor and Gamble and by the association that the change would be
occurring "shortly". I started checking labels when I was buying
Pringles and it was a couple months before all my sources carried the
new stock. I knew which were new stock since they were labelled, along
with the other ingredients potato and/or wheat starch. I think that
this company did an incredible job of informing and changing labels to
reflect even the possibility of the presence of wheat starch. I have
found many food items that I cannot buy because of the use of the
labelling food starch, starch or modified versions. These cannot be
trusted as to what starch they contain and I cannot phone the company
with every lot # to find out if I can buy them. These are the label
changes I would like to see, where companies cannot hide ingredients in
a generic type of name, ie. see all previous docs on MSG, HVP/HPP.
