Dear Listmates -

I keep forgetting to post a note about this.

While many packing "peanuts," bows, etc. are made of
polystyrene, some of the packaging materials are made
of corn starch, wheat starch, or potato starch.

When you open packages, or if you save packaging materials,
it might be a good idea to wear disposable gloves or to grab
it with a paper towel. Then maybe wipe off the bottle of vitamins,
or whatever arrived in the box, thoroughly before you handle it.

Otherwise, if the packing peanuts or materials are from starch,
as in wheat starch, they are all over the item and all over your hands.
Not good - since you won't know you have wheat starch on your
hands and will then eat something or handle food.
