Hello,

I have three children with Celiac Disease and I have a gluten intolerance.
I was very sick with each pregnancy and my sisters have been sick as well.
I have never been pregnant while on a gluten free diet. I had to have
intervenous feedings while pregnant with two of my pregnancies. I am caring
for my sick sister who is pregnant right now and extremely ill. I am not
giving her any gluten because before she became pregnant she had symptoms
like my children with Celiac disease but tested negative on the blood
screening. I tested negative too, but I feel so much better on a gluten
free diet that I can't justify eating gluten.

Does anyone out there have any experience with a pregnancy while on gluten
and a pregnancy after being diagnosed with Celiac disease or gluten
intolerancee.

I need to know if there is any hope of this helping her pregnancy. She has
only been gluten free for 4 days and already she is not congested like she
was with her other pregnancies and the early part of this one. She has to
spit constantly into a cup because of overproduction of saliva. This is
certainly a shot in the dark but what have we got to lose. If this will
keep her out of the hospital.
