Again, I think this boils down to what each individuals experiences with
vinegar (all types) is.  In Canada they allow ALL vinegar including MALT
vinegar because of the distilling process.  They also allow distilled
liquors for the same reasons.  I have never had any outward problems with my
food so I follow the guidlelines of the CCA (Canadian Celiac Assocation).
If in the future they change the rules I will follow the new rules.  Much
the same as if I lived in England I would be allowed to each items with
wheat starch and would do so unless it caused myself and adverse reaction.
