Have a CD Writer plus by HP the 8100 series CDRW.
It was a  little shakey a first but after I figured out what I was doing
wrong I found out the  unit works very good, had it for quite awhile.
Plextor is suppose to be one of the best.  I've herd a few bad stories about
the DMA settings   and  the software that comes bundled with the units
causing various problems. Find out what software comes with the unit. Like
Direct CD. Watch out for the cheep blank CD-R or CD-RWs quality defiantly
makes a difference.
