You may want to check in in My Computer/properties/ device manger. When it
is not working is it still there.Click on the modem icon and see if your
modem appears. Click on the computer icon in the device manger and see what
IRQ it is. There is a possibility that it is not there. There is also the
possibility that the IRQ is in conflict and you may wan to move it to a
different IRQ.
