Thanks for the feedback,

Some points I probably should have included in my original post...

I already have a 19" LG995e studio works monitor, which i will use in the
new system.
I had thought of a dual monitor system but at the moment cant afford to buy
another monitor as well as the system, but I can add it in later if it
seems relevant.

I will look at win 2000 but I dont think it will run my pre existing
scanner and printer... I'll have to check. (what is the main reason for
choosing 2000 over ME?)

Scanner is: HP Scanjet 5370c (USB)
Printer is: Epson Stylus Photo 870 (USB)

One reason I didnt think a larger HDD was necessary is that I use removable
HDD drawers and already have 2 20gig disks. Also the thought
of scandisking/viruschecking/defraging a 40/60/80 gig HDD ...YUK! Having
said that I will probably go to a 40 gig and partition it.

I'll be running latest versions (probably) of photoshop and dreamweaver, I
frequently have open, multiple windows of, photoshop, dreamweaver, IE,
Netscape, Irfanview, scanner software, powerdesk, etc etc all at once. My
AMD 450 does the job but does struggle (and sometimes crash).

Thanks again
Leigh Jennings
