The National Center on Disability and Access to Education would like to
remind you of the upcoming webcast - Student Information Systems and
Individuals with Disabilities.

The webcast will be held tomorrow (Wednesday), November 30, 2005 at 1PM
Mountain Standard Time (12:00PM Pacific; 2:00PM Central; 3:00PM
Eastern). The webcast is free of charge and will feature speakers
nationally known for their work in accessibility and student information
systems: Ron Stewart from Oregon State University, Skip Knox from Boise
State University, and Alice Anderson from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison.

Most colleges and universities use electronic information technology for
class registration, financial aid services, and course grades and
transcripts. As education-based web services become more complex,
students and faculty with non-traditional computer interface abilities
face greater barriers. The needs of students and faculty who don't use a
mouse or those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers are
seldom considered as web-based services are designed and implemented.
The three panelists invited to participate in the webcast will address
these issues from various perspectives including disability student
services, web design, and university information technology
administration.

The panel will answer questions that are submitted by listeners.
