yes, the VICUG-L hyperarchive is publicly accessible, which means that
you do not have to be a subscriber in order to peruse it...

no, posting to the list is by subscribers only...  what you can do, if you
want to post to the list and comment upon posts you read at the
hyperarchive is to type the following 2 lines in an emessage,

CONFIRM VICUG-L
SET VICUG-L NOMAIL

and send it to: [log in to unmask]

this will keep your subscription to VICUG-L active, but leave your
subscription set to NOMAIL, which means that while you will not receive
mail from VICUG-L, you can still post to it...

all of this info, and more, is contained in the welcome message that you
received when you originally subscribed, which is why the listowners
asked us to please download and store it on our hard drives!
