Try this. Launch Internet Explorer as you always do. Then, when the
browser
is loaded, open the View menu with alt+v.
Arrow down to the Explorer Bar submenu and do a right-arrow or press
enter
to open it.
Next, down arrow through your available choices. You'll notice Search,
Favorites, History and other options.
If Search is checked, press enter to uncheck it.
That should do the trick.
