John - in msconfig the start tab is along the top of the dialog window
and at the far right. Like I said before - if you have that kind of
money to buy the things you mentioned then great, go for it. A 7200 rpm
hard disk is going to run faster then a 5400 rpm hard disk. A 1 gig
processor is also going to run faster then a 266. You need to look at
what is causing your machine to do a scan disk every time it boots into
windows.
