You don't mention what operating system you are running
I will make a guess - Win9X?
if so, it sounds like your drive may be partitioned with FAT16 and 2.0gig is
the limit
for partition size.
You can run the "FDISK" command at a DOS prompt to see your drive
partition information.
To make the whole drive into one partition, you must
either re-partition the drive using FAT32 and reformat.
I beleive you need windows 95B (OSR2) or above to support FAT32.

 From within windows you can convert the drive to FAT32 and use a product
such
as Partitionmagic to change the partition size.
I haven't use the Fat converter in windows so I don't know how well it
works.
