I've been using my Barricade router for about 3 weeks now, and I haven't had
any problems with it. I'm using Cable Modem instead of a dial-up modem. So
maybe that's where your problem is. Otherwise the Barricade has been pretty
nice.

This sounds rather as if some table or resource pool in the router
is filling up, and only gets reset when you power the router off and
back on.

Code containing such a basic flaw should never have made it through
internal testing to customer release. IF it did, an immediate
firmware update should include the fix.

Having a problem like this survive this far is rather
incomprehensible. I think you are right to return the unit and try a
different brand.
