No kidding, Bobby? I take Lopid (Gemfibrozil), an anti-LDL/triglyceride
med, and have noticed marked energy level drop. I chalked it up to
aging/CP. Lopid's not a lovastatin, but if you take it concurrent with a
lovastatin it can cause "muscle-wasting".

Subject: Muscle fatigue
In the last year or two, my endurance has dropped drsatically. I started
taking Centrum Silver for energy. I have been taking Lipitor for cholesterol
and it has done wonders for my LDL. However, I just had a talked with my new
internist who says Lipitor is an avastatin(sp?) which depeletes an enzyme
critical to muscle function.
He knew of an enzyme supplement he will put me on to correct my fatigue
problems. I will let you know how it works. I habe gone down so drastically
in the last year, I can not make more than four gates in an airport and
have
to request a wheelchair. I just wanted to let anyone who is taking or is
thinking about taking any of the anti-cholesterol drugs-Lipitor, Zocor, etc.
There will flat mess up a spastic's endurance.
Bobby
