Hey there, I know this will add more controversy to this thread,  but a little
thinking never hurt anyone.  Have we bought into the notion that walking is the
only locomotion fit for humans, and that if we rely on otrher mobility tools, we
become subhuman?  That's what it sounds like to me... So what if  we become
dependent on powerchairs and/or scooters?  The powerchair/scooter becomes our legs,
and if family or friends can't handle it, it is theiir problem, not ours.
