Dear PDF users,

Many thanks to many groups who tried to help me. i will share my
feedback.

Many years ago Acrobat came into my computers and I know it was PHOTO. I
resisted it for many years, even I deleted any email about PDF or
Arcobat. Why? Because I have no interest in the graphic, picture, photo,
or drawing.

Until I got a free driver (software) of WinBraille for my INDEX embossor.
It has many PDF files. I was mad and wonder why???? I can not read them.

So I asked you for the advise. I checked the Arcobat's version. Oh! It
was 3.1. What a old version.

Bapin is correct it currents 5.1.0 now. I downloaded it to my both
desktop and laptop. Yes, it was MUCH better. Now I accept it.

What stupid I was! Smile!

Many thanks,
Leslie--

Hi Leslie and Michelle,
Actually, there is a version of Acrobat reader that the ZoomText
DocReader
will work on. It's difficult to find, however, so most people don't
realize
it's even available. Below is a link for Adobe 5.1 with the accessibility
built-in so that your screen readers and Doc Reader will work properly:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/alternate.html#51eng

I will warn you though that on occasion you may find a document still
won't
read. I haven't run into this myself but I have heard it is possible
depending on how the original PDF file was created. You shouldn't run
into
this very often (if ever) but I thought I'd warn you now just in case.
Good
luck and let me know how it goes when you install this version of Acrobat
Reader. As a side note just to vent a little, I think it's ridiculous
that
Adobe has a separate download for the accessible version and there is no
visible difference between the two so they should really only be
distributing the accessible version. I'll get off my soap box now though.
<grin>
