The Diebold TouchScreen Electronic Boring machine has a keyboard port for
the telephone style keypad that most blind people, including deaf-blind
people would use to navigate through the ballot and make selections.

The machine also has the standard 3/8-inch "mini" stereo headphone jack for
plugging in any headset that would be used with a standard portable radio,
or "Walkman" type audio device, for listening to the audio output.

There is also an industry-standard, 9-pin, RS-232C serial port for
connecting any external device that expects to be able to interface with
another computer via that serial port interface.  That's where your
deaf-blind friend would connect something like a braille-output-equipped
notetaker or laptop computer, among other things, in place of not being able
to use "that stupid audio" as he said.

So, this really is a truly PWD-friendly and PWD-accessible voting experience
that is provided by this particular machine.
