A friend is building a older system for a customer that wants both 3 ½ and 5 ¼ floppies in the system. The system will see both floppies in the BIOS but when the system is booted up (Win 98se) it will only see one of the floppies. The Windows can read and write to the floppy it sees, but will not see both floppies together. Has the MB makers totally disable the capabilities of systems having 5 ¼ floppies in them?? And short of going back to the dinosaurs of PC's (Ahhhh 286, 386, 486) that did have the capabilities. I hope some can possibly provide a solution.
Thanks
Lonnie
The system is a P2 450
RAM 256
MB is a ABIT BH6
OS is Win 98SE
