Firstly thankyou to the helpful folk who answere my earlier request for help ref  ics and one machine in 6 on a network not working..  The ideas have been filed away for the inevitable "next time".  However, the problem turned out to be that win98 had failed to load the Internet connection sharing wizard on one of the machines.  I found that by comparing folder contents with the other machines. A fast copy and paste solved the issue.  Why 98 failed to install it (twice) is beyond me.  Thank you anyway.
