Hi!
I am about to buy a DVD-ROM for my W2k system.
-- Would SCSI interface be a better choice than IDE?
I already have the SCSI card.
At my favourite supplier there are 14 different internal IDE drives, and
only 1 SCSI drive.
I am considering the SCSI drive:
PIONEER DVD-ROM 10X/40X DVD-305S INTERN SCSI BULK
(It is 30% more expensive than the IDE drive PIONEER DVD-106S but that is no
big issue.)
I am going to use the DVD drive mostly as a replacement for CD-ROM, i.e. for
software installation media, or for large software titles, e.g. multi-media
dictionaries. (DVD movies are of a lower priority for me.)
Best regards,
