Silva,

To stop Windows from searching for a new floppy drive at startup... go to Control
Panel, System Properties, Performance Tab, File System Button, Floppy Disk Tab and
"uncheck" the settings box (Search for new floppy disk drives each time your computer
starts). Click "Apply," and "OK" on the way out to close remaining open windows.

Subject: At Start Up looking for Floppy Drive

Sometime ago a friend of mine had a problem with his computer after
formatting and reinstalling. It was that there was freeze as the start up
was looking for the floppy drive. I had helped him to solve the problem,
but now I have forgotten the solution.

Now a another friend has the same problem, and so I would appreciate
advice how to solve this.

          Thanks Siva Lokanathan
