You may have anti virus software running in the background. Disable any
antiviral software including the anti virus software that comes with some
BIOS's.
Thanks for your time,

Subject: [PCBUILD] Failure on Win95 instalation
I have a cyrix 686, with 32MB of RAM and a 125MB HD.
The problem is that the HD had a virus and my client ask me to reinstal
win95, then I low level reformated the HD, and temporay installed MSDOS
6.2 , after that I tryed to install Win95 from the CDROM unit and all look
like was fine until the process of windows instalation got stalled.
Then the PC freezes, after the process of instalation says that
was analysing system components and it is loading the instalation guide
software. Sudently it looks like the instalation program tries to read de
floppy unit an then apears a black box in the middle of the screen,
without nothing inside (Maybe a warning or error measage I can not see).
In one of my instalation tries I remember I heard a sound when the box
appears, quite similar to the sound of alert when you are going to modify
the Master Boot Record, but I am not sure about it.
Do you have any suggestions about what could be wrong and How to
fix it?
