Totally agree, Cyrix always had problems being the HOTTEST chips on the
market, Once again it may not be your cpu causing the problem. Alot of the
time it could be the motherboard. It doesn't help using
a PC Chips motherboard nor is it helpful to use a motherboard that has built
in graphics sound etc. you are only asking for trouble.

One thing i will mention is that YES I had a cyrix PR166+ on a gigabyte
motherboard with nothing built in and it was trouble free is still is to
this day it runs 24/7 in a restaurant. As soon as i went to the PR233MMX I
had troubles with over heating, it crashed often. So much to say i sold it
fast. And bought a PROPER CPU, an Intel.

REgards,
D
