bryan, for whatever it's worth, i found my new/great allergist by (1) asking other physicians i liked (my obgyn, daughter's gastroenterologist) who they knew or recommended, (2) went to american academy of allergy asthma, immunology website to look for officers & chapter officers in my geographic area, then emailed them & asked for recs who fit characteristics i was looking for, and (3) even did medical lit search & then emailed authors of studies on topics relevant to us to see if THEY knew anyone in my area....

i was very pleasantly surprised to get replies from everyone i queried....& it really helped....

just my $.02....marla
