Amy, My children have galactosemia, and can not have any milk or derivatives
of milk, caseins, whey, lactose, ...they also have limits to certain fruits
or veg. (any thing that contains galactose) I have been doing this for 12
1/2 years now. I know your children dont have galactosemia, but you can
check out the web side www.galactosemia.org ,it has ingreds. what to look
for that contain milk.. etc. also they list other links to look into.. I
have the Jane Zukin cookbook, its great. use it alot..
I have to look at labels everyweek, things change often (adding or taking
away milk..) its hard but you adjust. Good luck, I hope everything works
out..there is such a variety now of non-dairy foods now in the reg.
supermarkets.. sue-
