Mrs. Saho, it is always with a heavy heart that I read about the injustice
being visited on your husband by this illegal regime we have back home. I am
extremely disappointed to learn that no headways were made at the court
hearing that ensued right after the judges came back from vacation. My
understanding was that Dumo et al will be allocated a judge that was going
to sit on a daily basis and hear this case promptly. I guess I was wrong,
because reading your revelations, the proceedings are again adjourned up to
November.
This lawlessness is simply mind-boggling. I CANNOT understand how people can
call themselves judges and prosecutors and then oversee this type of
injustice. As far as this case is concerned, the maxim ‘presumed innocent
until proven guilty’ does NOT apply anymore. Your husband is being punished
for a crime NO ONE has even bothered to go to court to prove. This is just
pathetic. Innocent citizens languishing in jail while judges go on vacation
for months. Our own Gambian brothers that are working hard to put Gambian
children ahead (Dumo and Boka-loho) are being illegally incarcerated on the
basis of LIES told by Yaya’s Italian bodyguard.
This is simply TYRANNY. The government clearly does NOT have a case against
the citizens. But they are using the might of the Dictatorship to
incarcerate people any way. The judge overseeing this case has NO excuse for
keeping these people in jail during the pendency of the trial. The least the
judge can do is grant the people bail while Joseph Joof and his cohorts at
AG Chambers are engaged in a fishing expedition trying to concoct more lies
against the citizens. No citizen should be incarcerated indefinitely for a
crime he/she did NOT commit. It is doubly disheartening when you consider
that this is being done to a fine man like Dumo that has given back to
society lot more than the vermin incarcerating him illegally. Needless to
say, when Yaya is gotten rid of October 19, 2001, the new Attorney General
should withdraw these bogus charges from the courts forthwith and give these
citizens their freedom. Obviously, Dumo et al were NOT planning to overthrow
the government. This government is famous for making these bogus charges
against PERCIEVED enemies. If they cannot corrupt you, they cook up bogus
charges against you to get rid of you. Many fine soldiers lost their lives
under this diabolical regime simply because they belong to the wrong tribe
and Yaya is suspicious of them. Gambians have to stand up against this
lawlessness. We have to get rid of these animals and restore law and order
in the country.
Mrs. Saho, be rest assured that the next government will forthwith restore
law and order in the country and free your husband and his co-accused.
Knowing Ousainou Darboe, I can guarantee you that he will NEVER be part of
this kind of lawlessness. A government led by Darboe will NOT appoint a
moron like Joseph Joof as AG and have NIA thugs (like Foday Barry)
concocting evidence against innocent citizens. Keep up the great job you are
doing highlighting the plight of your husband. Remember that the truth will
always prevail and your husband will soon be vindicated. The man should be
decorated for helping Gambian children rather than being jailed illegally
without trial.
