ASSOCIATION OF GAMBIAN ENGINEERS AND COMPUTER SCIENTIST (AGECS)

Objectives

Encourage young Gambians to pursue careers in the fields of
Engineering and Computer Science.

Provide a medium where Gambian Engineers and Computer scientist in the USA
could share potent information relative to career advancement and job
opportunities within their own organizations to interested applicants.

Help provide mentoring opportunities (in person or otherwise) to young
Gambians pursuing interest in the fields of Engineering and Computer
Science.

Help provide Educational Resources to students in the Gambia that are
interested in Engineering and Computer science.

Serve as a bridge between would-be Gambian Engineers and Comp science
aficionados or enthusiasts and the greater engineering community.

Organize and execute annual gatherings at predetermined venues/sites to
help foster and perpetuate interpersonal bonding and linkage between the
group members.

Who is qualified to participate:

All Computer Science and Engineering students and graduates as well
students interested in the above mentioned areas of studies but are
currently not enrolled in those respective disciplines.
