Subject: FEDERAL MINORITY HEALTH GRANTS July 25 deadline
Priority: Normal

July 8, 2002

Dear Wisconsin Minority Health Colleague:

Please be advised of the following three grant opportunities from the
federal Office of Minority Health. The grants were announced June 25.
Private, non-profit, community-based, minority-serving organization(s)
that address health and human services are eligible to apply. Two of the
grants focus on HIV/AIDS.

Please immediately visit the federal Office of Minority Health website
at www.omhrc.gov to download copies of the RFP and note all application
details. All applications must be postmarked by July 25, 2002. Please
contact your regional public health office to submit a public health
impact statement, if needed.

Due to the imminent deadline and the anticipated large interest in the
grants, the Wisconsin Minority Health Program can provide some
assistance with your proposal development on a limited, first-come,
first-serve basis. However, all proposal approvals, evaluations, and
funding decisions rest solely with the federal Office of Minority
Health. The Minority Health Program will not be informed of future
state-authorized minority health grants until July 2003.

Best of luck with your applications.
