Milwaukee-based Associate Director Position with Wisconsin Community
Fund

The Wisconsin Community Fund, a progressive social justice foundation,
seeks person to raise funds and manage its Milwaukee office. Candidate
must have fundraising and management experience, and knowledge of social
justice organizing. Full-time salaried position, up to $40,000 per year,
dependent on experience, plus generous benefits. Submit resume with

Wisconsin Community Fund Job Description
Associate Director

Duties

Fundraising

1. In cooperation with the Executive Director and Board of Directors,
responsible for setting overall fundraising goals, planning
fundraising
work, and meeting fundraising goals to ensure adequate resources for
WCF:

a. Work with development staff to bring in new donors through events,
prospecting mailings and other methods to grow WCF's donor database,
especially in Milwaukee.

b. Write, call, and meet with individual donors and potential donors.

c. Work with development staff to organize the board and volunteers to
assist with fundraising work, especially major gifts work.

d. Work with development staff to manage fundraising work, including
donor
file maintenance, computer database maintenance, and providing reports
to
the Executive Director, board and auditor.

e. Responsible for Milwaukee events coordination and maintaining
Milwaukee workplace giving campaign with Community Shares of Milwaukee

f. Write proposals to foundations and solicit corporate gifts as time
permits

g. Lead the fundraising effort in the Milwaukee area and South-eastern
Wisconsin, coordinating volunteers and board members to assist with
the
effort.

2. Program

a. Be familiar with WCF's programs and grantees for fundraising
purposes
b. Meet with Grant Allocation Committee and other program volunteers
3. Administration

a. Responsible for all administration necessary to run the Milwaukee
office

b. Responsible for all normal staff personnel duties

c. Supervise part time administrative assistant in the Milwaukee
office

4. Volunteer recruitment and management

a. Assist in recruitment, training and management of volunteers in the
Milwaukee area
5. WCF representative

a. Act as a representative for WCF in Milwaukee, statewide and
nationally as necessary

Qualifications:

Education:

· High School diploma required

· College courses or degree a plus, especially communication and
computer
courses

Successful candidate must have the following skills and qualities:

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

· Good people skills, ability to work with diverse people, management
skills
a plus

· Motivated, a self starter, with the ability to work on multiple jobs
at
the same time

· Outgoing personality

· Own a car, have a valid driver's license, and be able to travel
statewide

· Understand and support social change, and have a progressive
philosophy

· Experience with fundraising, especially major gifts and events work

· Live in the Milwaukee area and be familiar with the community

· Good computer skills, especially word processing, database, and
email
skills
