There are only a few moving parts on a computer, so you can try to
isolate them.

1.  An out of balance cdrom reader.  Run your computer without
a cd in it and see if it still makes the noise.

2.  A bad fan bearing.  Stick a pencil in the power supply fan
and turn on the computer to see if it still makes the noise with
the fan stopped.  Of course, do   not run this too long.

3.  Disconnect the fan on the cpu.  Do not run too long.

4.  Disconnect the hard drive power and boot from floppy
or just go thru the bios.  Hard drives tend to make clicking
noises rather than buzzing noises.  Hard drives work harder
if they are fragmented.

5.  I suspect that the power supply has a transformer
which can buzz if the laminations become loose.

This is all I can think of.
