Get message "Insufficient memory to run Windows. Reconfigure your system
to have at least 335kb free memory".
In mem have dblspace 110,160k, smartdrv 98,304k (do I need smartdrv?),
oakcdrom 36,064k, and mscdex 32,384k as large blocks in conventional
memory.
Config. sys had only two lines:
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\setver.exe (Do I need this line?)
DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\DRVSPACE.SYS /MOVE
To move blocks from conventional to upper memory, I added
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS D=64
DEVICE=HIGH,UMB
DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\SMARTDRV.EXE /MOVE
On reboot, all blocks in conventional memory were still there, and no
items are in upper memory. What do I need to do? Win98.
