While mine doesn't lose a minute a day, it is always off at least a few
seconds. Go to www.time.nist.gov and download this little 50 Kb program
that you can config to run periodically to reset your clock. I do it
manually every second or third day. This site and a list of others are
connected to the government's atomic clocks. I set my watch by it every
time I do it. If you can't remember to do it manually, then configure it to
do it automatically. A minute a day is quite a bit, but having never run
into this problem before, I can't offer an opinion as to whether anything of
any import is wrong.

Subject: Re: [PCBUILD] Clock losing time

Clocks in PCs are never accurate, I was always resetting mine until I
acquired Atomic clock , a piece of software which sits on your PC and comes
into action when you are connected to the net, very small, very simple,
unfortunately I have forgotten the URL but a simple search will find it

Hi,
I am wondering what it means that the clock in my system tray continues to
lose time even though I changed the cmos battery only a short while ago. It
is losing time more slowly now than it did before I changed it but still
falls behind about a minute each day.
I have a Micron MME, 200 megahertz processor, 48 meg of ram, Diamond
Stealth video card.
Is it likely that I simply purchased a faulty battery or does it mean
something more serious?
Thanks in advance for any help regarding this.
George
