I own a K6-2 550 on an Asus P5a with an RPM monitored, oversize
heatsink. It will not run a 105 Mhz or faster FSB so I've left well
enough alone. If it is speed you're after, piling on all this
gloriously cheap ram seems to do wonders. Unless one's processor and
mobo are very well endowed for cache, IMHO processor speeds that are
large order of magnitude greater than ones FSB are not worth the hassle
of rejumpering a board, never mind expense of new and loss on resale of
old.
Cheers,
Matthew
PS: NT4 can't install with CPU cache enabled on the 500 & 550's
PPS: 350's will do 110*3.5=392 and 400' will do 110*4=440 usually.
